President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says the public expects parliamentarians to uphold high moral standards and admirable traits.
He emphasised the significance of lawmakers abiding by the law. The people have confidence in the National People’s Power to form an honest parliament.
In a meeting held in Talawathugoda today the President said that the NPP was the first party history in Sri Lanka to be able to introduce the term “retirement from politics” to the politician.
He said that he is certain that the people will raise the NPP to the highest level in the forthcoming general election.
The President stated that the candidates presented by his party are new to Parliament but not new to politics.
