Former Kegalle District parliamentarian Dushmantha Mithrapala and Jaffna District parliamentarian Anga-jan Ramanathan have expressed their support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe. They conveyed their endorsement during a meeting at the presidential election operations office at Malpura Road, affirming their commitment to working towards his victory in the upcoming election.
At a meeting organized by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya in Monaragala, including the Wellawewa and Bibila constituencies, Secretary Ranjith Maddumbandara emphasized the need for women in Sri Lanka to be given their rightful place rather than just an equal place. The meeting declared that 90% of women’s support would be directed towards Sajith Premadasa in the upcoming presidential election.
It has been confirmed that several presidential candidates, including Namal Rajapaksa, Sajith Premadasa, Ariya-nethran, and Dilith Jayaweera, will participate in the first phase of the presidential debate scheduled for
the 7th of next month. The second and third phases of the debate are set to take place on the 8th and 9th of next month, respectively.
