Bilateral relations between Canada and Sri Lanka will be strength.

A meeting between Canadian High Commissioner Eric Walsh and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya took place at the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday.

In this meeting, long standing diplomatic relations were strengthened and various fields were discussed. The High Commissioner mentioned that Canada is committed to strengthening bilateral relations.

The importance of strengthening the social security system in the country, promoting women’s entrepreneurship and uplifting small and medium entrepreneurs in the country’s economy was emphasized during the meeting.

The Prime Minister emphasized that education should be given priority for the development of Sri Lanka.
