It is the hope of the President to change such conditions and create a country that is perfect in every way. Mr. Dissanayake expressed these views while attending a rally held yesterday in Trincomalee.

The President said that the family control of some politicians has broken down and it is impossible to contest this year’s general elections.

After the upcoming general election, less than 25 people will be selected from among the large number of MPs of the National People’s Power and the Cabinet of Ministers will be established.

State ministerial positions are not appointed there. Only Deputy Ministers suitable for ministerial positions are to be appointed.

The President emphasized that since then, the country will gradually build and move forward. As there is no shortage of rice in the country, no rice is expected to be imported except for the tourism industry. Fertilizer subsidy which was 15 thousand rupees has been increased to 25 thousand rupees.

Its aim is to strengthen agriculture. The President mentioned that he will present the first budget document of his government around next February and provide subsidies to the people.
