A special inquiry into the pre-shooting within the Sri Dalada Maligawa.

The police have launched a special investigation into an incident involving a recently married couple conducting pre-shoot inside the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa.

The couple was photographed at various locations within the temple, including the Hewisi Mandapaya and Ambaraawa, which has sparked significant debate on social media.

The Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Pradeep Nilanga Dela,  confirmed that he was made aware of the incident and had informed the police.

Kandy police said the couple, along with the photographer, have been summoned to Kandy today to provide statements regarding the matter.
