29 MOH divisions are nominated as Dengue Risk Zones – PHI’s

The Association of Public Health Inspectors says 29 Medical Officer of Health Divisions in 5 districts are nominated as Dengue High Risk Zones.

The Association said that the number of dengue cases reported in Sri Lanka may increase by December due to the current rainy weather conditions.

Public Health Inspectors said 36 thousand 642 dengue cases have been diagnosed during this year. The dengue control unit of the Ministry of Health says that 17 dengue deaths were also reported during the past 8 months of the year.
