Government will take measures to create a  better media culture

Minister Vijitha Herath says that  the present government will take measures to create a  better media culture in the country according to the constitution.

The government is bound to safeguard Buddhism while respecting the other religions.  It is the responsibility of the government to build a good political culture by creating national peace in the country.

He also stated that duties of the mass communication will be fulfilled properly.  He made these remarks while assuming office as the minister of media and social protection.
