Casting of Postal votes relevant to the  presidential election

Casting of Postal votes relevant to the  presidential election commenced this morning.  The postal voting  is being conducted  successfully.

Commissioner General of elections Saman Sri Rathnayake said that no any violent activities have been reported.   Postal voting is being conducted in 196 centres in the Polonnaruwa district.

19 858 voters have been registered in the district.   Our correspondents say that the state workers are  casting their  postal votes in an enthusiastic manner.

The PAFFREL organisation said that more than 900 officials of  their organisation have been deployed for the postal voting monitoring activities.
