The need for a commission to promote the tourism industry – AKD

NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasized the need for a commission to promote the tourism industry, which has been significantly impacted by the Easter attacks. While some progress has been made, it is insufficient.

He advocated for a team with fresh ideas to develop the tourism sector and stressed that it should be accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises.

Namal Rajapaksa, the presidential candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, stated that he will implement a low tax policy under his government to benefit the people.

He praised former President Mahinda Rajapaksa for ending 30 years of terrorism and uniting the country, and he assured that he will preserve this unity under his own administration. Rajapaksa made these comments during a public meeting in Mawatagama yesterday.
