The manifesto of President Wickremesinghe will be unveiled tomorrow.
The policy statement of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is running as an independent candidate for the upcoming presidential election, will be unveiled tomorrow. The statement, crafted based on the “Puluwan Sri Lanka” vision, is scheduled to be revealed at an event at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo.
The policy includes initial steps and plans to gradually transform the country into a developed state by steering it away from economic crisis. Meanwhile, President Wickremesinghe will hold his first public rally in Colombo this afternoon at the Nugegoda Ananda Samarakoon Open Theatre.
At a public meeting in Kandy yesterday, Wickremesinghe emphasized that providing relief to the people comes not from false promises in election statements but from strengthening the country’s economy. He pledged to maintain economic stability while implementing his five-year plan, reducing food prices and taxes to provide genuine relief to the people.
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa stated that under his government, farmers will be guaranteed a stable price for their produce. During a public meeting in Batticaloa yesterday, he highlighted the need to strengthen the country’s agricultural sector, promising to supply quality fertilizers and affordable fuel to farmers.
