The accepting deposits for the presidential election will end 4th August.
The accepting deposits for the presidential election will end at 12 noon on Wednesday the 14th August. So far 29 candidates placed their deposits for the forthcoming presidential election.It is reported that the expenditure on a candidate will increase if the no of candidates increases.
In 1994 , except for the first two contenders , the other candidates mustered only 4.08 % of the total votes polled. In 2019, except for the first two contenders the other 33 minor candidates mustered only 2.5% of votes. PAFFEREL stated that those candidates could not get 2% of the votes will lose their deposits.
Members of European Union will also take part in the monitoring mission of the presidential election this time.
