presidential election: 86 parties are supporting President Ranil Wickramasinghe – Vajira Abeyawardena

The Lanka Jathika Estate Workers Union (LJEWU) has decided to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming Presidential Election, its General Secretary MP Vadivel Suresh said.

Speaking at an event at Hatton Suresh said the Lanka Jathika Estate Workers Union will support the President who has done great service to the people in the plantation sector.Meanwhile, SJB organiser for Katana electorate Vijith Vijayamuni Soyza has decided to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming Presidential Election.

Meanwhile, SLPP MP Wimalaweera Dissanayake, during a discussion with SLPP Local Government representatives in Ampara had stated that he has decided to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming election. Also the Sri Lanka Mahajana Party (SLMP) has pledged its support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming Presidential Election. Party leader Asanka Navaratne announced this yesterday.

Meanwhile Parliamentarian Vajira Abeyawardena said 86 parties are supporting President Ranil Wickramasinghe in the forthcoming presidential election. Therefore this week will be a crucial week for many , he added. 2 years ago , not a single political party was able to organize a political rally. Opposition Leader admitted himself to hospital due to the fear of accepting the responsibility of reins of the country in 2022. If Ranil Wickramasinghe did not accept the responsibilities in 2022 , no one would have practiced politics in this country today, the parliamentarian added.
