All District Returning Officers have been called up to the commission for a meeting.

The Elections Commission says that all District Returning Officers have been called up to the commission for a meeting tomorrow. Commissioner General Saman Sri Rathnayake says that preliminary measures regarding the presidential election will be discussed at this meeting.

Meanwhile, the deadline for the submission of postal voting applications will be next Monday. Postal vote applicants can visit the official website of the Election Commission to obtain the information related to the voter list required to complete the application.

Meanwhile, four more candidates have placed their deposits yesterday to contest the 2024 Presidential Election. In total, 10 candidates have placed their deposits with the Election Commission accordingly.

This includes three independent candidates, six candidates from recognized political parties and one candidate from other political parties.
