presidential election: 14 candidates have placed their deposits – elections commission
The elections commission council says that 14 candidates have placed their deposits for the voting to select the 9th executive President of the country.
Commissioner general of elections Saman Sri Rathnayake said that eight candidates have placed their deposits representing accepted political parties. Accepting of nominations will be carried out from 9.00 am to 11.00 am on the 15th of this month.
