An Online appointment system for passports now available

Cabinet spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath says that  the  passport issue is not a problem created by the present government.

Participating in the media briefing today he stated that the present government has provided solutions to this issue to a certain extent. Currently passports are issuing on a systematic method.

The Department of Immigration & Emigration has launched the Online Passport Appointment System to make it easier for applicants to register for passport applications.

Applicants can now access the Online Passport Appointment System in three languages, effective immediately.  Applications from registered applicants will be accepted from today.
