Police Media Spokesman DIG Nihal Talduwa says that hundreds of thousands of posters pasted by them have been removed at various places.

The police had to pay a lot of money for that. Not only in Colombo, but in all areas, notices have been posted in public places.

This is illegal. Mr. Talduwa says that in some cases posters have been pasted even in public places owned by the government.

He said in a press conference held this morning that many teams of the police had to be deployed for this purpose.
