Issuing of ballot boxes for the Elpitiya LG election will start tomorrow

Galle District Secretary W A Dharmasiri says that more than 95 percent of the government employees who were eligible to use postal votes for the Elpitiya local government election have used postal votes.

1576 government employees had applied for postal voting. All arrangements are now ready for the polling. Plans have also been prepared to deal with an emergency situation.

The issuing of ballot boxes will start tomorrow morning. Counting of votes will be done in the polling station itself. The Galle district secretary claims that the election results will be released by 10:00 pm. The polling will be held on the 26th.
