Investigation: Progress of expenditures by the Ministry of Sports.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has instructed officials to conduct an urgent investigation of the progress of expenditures made by the Ministry of Sports.

Although statistics on the spending of the Ministry exist, she emphasized the need for a proper analysis of its progress. The Prime Minister has also directed that an internal audit be conducted promptly.

She provided these instructions during a discussion with heads of institutions operating under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
