Government to digitize paddy storage system.

A discussion on the digitalization of social welfare benefit programmes took place yesterday under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, where the significance of digitizing the paddy storage system was also discussed.

This aims to stabilize rice prices and address long-term solutions for the rice shortage. The meeting also focused on digital transformation,

‘Aswesuma’ and social welfare programmes aimed at supporting low-income families. In addition, the group discussed plans for digitizing the relief distribution programme for children of low-income families in the upcoming school term and the distribution of the fertilizer subsidiary.
