46th SAARC FINANCE Governors’ Meeting  was held  in Washington.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka, as the chair, hosted the 46th SAARC FINANCE Governors’ Group Meeting  was held  in Washington D.C. on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.

The central bank governors, deputy governors, financial secretaries and representatives of member countries  were participated at the meeting.  

Discussions were focused on economic challenges, and to strengthen the financial cooperation in the region.  Attention was also focused on providing financial assistance at the economic crisis situation.
