Population and Housing Census 2024 in operation.

Director General of the Department of Census and Statistics, Anojaa Seneviratne said that collecting the information of individuals and houses according to the Population and Housing Census of 2024 is currently underway.

According to the provisions of the Census Ordinance, all citizens are bound to provide information. Census officers who receive information are bound to protect the confidentiality of the information.

The Director General urged the public to provide accurate data to the relevant officials, in order to make the census a success.
