The State Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Corporation is preparing to increase the production of medicines.

The aim of the government is to provide high quality medicines to the people. The president of the corporation, Professor Jayantha Wijebandara, says that the strengthening of the process has already started.

Professor Wijebandara is a Visiting Professor at the College of Chinese Medicine in Hunan, China and a Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Sri Jayawardenepura.

It is also expected to get the support of the Cuban government.
