More than 40,800  dengue patients have been reported  this year.

Specialist Dr. of the  community health at the national dengue eradication unit of the ministry of health  Anoja Weerasinghe says that more than 40,800  dengue patients have been reported  this year.  

The majority of the dengue cases have been reported from the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Rathnapura, Matara, Galle and Matale districts.  More cases of dengue can be increased with the rainy season.
