Landslide early warnings issued to several districts of the island.

Landslide early warnings have been issued for several districts by the National Building Research Organisation. Accordingly, Padukka and Seethawaka in the Colombo district, Elpitiya, Nagoda, Neluwa, Baddegama, Wanduramba and Thawalama in the Galle district and Attanagalla  in the Gampaha district are under level 2 warnings.

The same applies to Agalawatta, Mathugama, Ingiriya, Dodangoda, Walallawita, Horana, Palindanuwara and Bulathsinhala in the Kalutara district and Dehiowita, Deraniyagala, Aranayake, Ruwanwella, Kegalle, Mawanella, Bulathkohupitiya, Yatiyanthota and Warakapola areas in the Kegalle district.

Eheliyagoda, Kuruwita, Elapatha, Ayagama, Ratnapura, Kalawana and Kiriella in the Ratnapura district are also under level 2 warnings.

Meanwhile, Yakkalamulla, Niyagama  and Imaduwa  in the Galle district, Beruwala  in the Kalutara district and Galigamuwa  in the Kegalle district are under level 1 warnings.

Ambagamuwa in the Nuwara Eliya district and Kahawaththa, Openayake, Nivithigala and Pelmadulla  in the Ratnapura district are the other areas, to which level 1warnings have been issued.
