Disputes within the Samagi Jana Balawegaya are getting worse. The party faced many problems in giving nominations in recent days.

Because of this, various accusations were levelled against the party leadership. The party’s Kaduwela seat organizer Hirunika Premachandra said that she will step down from the post of national organizer of the party’s Samagi Vanita Balawegaya.

She said in a press conference held in Colombo that the party’s leaders accused the party organizers of not acting properly as the reason for the defeat in the last presidential election.

It was shown how the party’s Ajith Manapperuma and Damita Abeyratne also faced various crises in recent days.

She also said that a group including Patali Champika Ranawaka of the United Republic Front, which is a main party of Samagi Janasandhana, will not join the election battle this year.

Also Karunaratne Paranavithana, who was included in the Ratnapura list of Samagi Janabalawega, also said yesterday that he will withdraw from his election campaign.
