Welipenna Interchange on Expressway reopens for vehicles

The Welipanna Interchange on the Southern Expressway has been reopened for the traffic. The interchange was closed yesterday morning due to flooding caused by heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the Southern Expressway Office has announced that vehicles coming along the Southern Expressway have been suspended from leaving the Kaduwela entrance due to the overflowing of the Kelani River. Only heavy vehicles are allowed to enter Kadawata from Kaduwela.
