56 Pakistani prisoners have been transferred to home via chartered plane.

Prison Commissioner, Prison Media Spokesperson, Gamini B. Dissanayake, said 56 Pakistani prisoners have been transferred to home today via chartered plane.

He said the inmates were serving prison terms on drug charges. Federal Minister for Investment Board, Communications, and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan personally had covered all repatriation expenses.

He also extended thanks to the Sri Lankan government and the High Commissioner for their cooperation throughout the process.
