The Sri Lankan embassy in Lebanon states that Sri Lankans residing there are safe despite the ongoing military environment. Kapila Jayawira, the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Lebanon, mentions that the embassy maintains close relations with the Sri Lankan community.

Over 7,600 workers from Sri Lanka are employed in Lebanon, with a significant number residing in the southern regions of the country. He emphasized that while there are conflictual conditions in the northern areas, there are no Sri Lankans living in those regions.
