The Postal Department is ready for the 2024 general election.

Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe states that the Postal Department is ready for the 2024 general election. He mentioned that the gazette notification related to the election has already been issued.

Ranasinghe noted, during an interview with National Radio, that the department is ready for the general election in the same successful manner as the 2024 presidential election.

He highlighted that the local government election in Alpitiya will take place soon, and discussions regarding the tasks to be performed by the Postal Department were held yesterday.

Accordingly, Ranasinghe confirmed that preparations are already in place for the handling and distribution of postal polling cards.
