Two suspects with smuggled stock of insecticides held in Kalpitiya.

In a successful search operation, the Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 02 suspects along with a stock of smuggled insecticides off Uchchamunai, Kalpitiya, recently. The operation also resulted in the seizure of a dinghy used to smuggle insecticides.

The Sri Lanka Navy is vigilantly monitoring and conducting operations to curb illegal activities taking place in its sea and coastal territories.

As an extension of these efforts, the search operation was mounted by SLNS Vijaya in the Northwestern Naval Command in the sea area of Uchchamunai.
