He is ready to address the critical health issues after his victory.

The presidential candidate of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), Sajith Premadasa, pledged to usher in a transformative era for Sri Lanka’s healthcare system after September 21.

Speaking at a health conference held in Colombo, he said they would immediately address the critical issues that have long plagued the health system after their victory.

He further emphasized that transforming Sri Lanka’s healthcare infrastructure cannot rely solely on traditional public investment and funding.

Instead, he advocated for a fresh approach that includes a robust foster care system for every Medical Officer of Health (MOH) division and hospitals across the country.

Meanewhile, The presidential candidate of ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance Dilith Jayaweera emphasized that his national strategic plan is not full of empty promises but rather a strategic program designed for real-world implementation.

Speaking during a public rally held in Akuressa, Jayaweera stated that the plan is possibly the first time a strategic program that has been presented in a presidential election since independence.
