This process is being carried out under special security. Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe stated that the marking of postal votes had been of high importance.

Three days were allocated for marking postal votes for the presidential election, and this period ended yesterday. For those who were unable to mark their postal votes during this time, they can do so at the district election offices in their respective districts on the coming Wednesday and Thursday.

For this presidential election, 712,321 candidates were qualified to cast their postal votes. The Deputy Postmaster General also mentioned that the distribution of official election notice papers to households has been successfully completed.

A special day for the distribution of official election notice papers has been declared for tomorrow.
