Supporting the SJB is not the official opinion – Mavei Senadhiraja

Senior Member of the Ilankai Tamil Arashu Kadchchi (ITAK)   Mavei Senadhiraja, says a group of his Party gathered in Vavuniya and decided to support the opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa.

He said the decision is not the official opinion of his party.  He further alleges that, as a senior member of the party, he was unaware that a party meeting would be conducted to make the crucial decision.

He claims that several people who had participated in the meeting has taken such a decision and had  announced their personal choice.

Meanwhile, Parliamentarian Sujiwa Senasinghe says that the policy statement of the Samagi Janabalawegaya is practical and achievable.

He stated that it is possible to restructure the debt and free the people from poverty as stated in the presidential election manifesto of the opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.

He made these remarks at a press conference of the Samagi Janasanthana held today. He stated that SJB leader Sajith Premadasa has a strong strategy to free the people from poverty.
