Two Presidential manifestos to be unveiled tomorrow.
The independent presidential candidate Ranil Wickramasinge will unveil his manifesto tomorrow morning in Colombo. Meanwhile, Samagi Jana Balawegaya will release its Presidential manifesto in Kandy tomorrow.
Minister Ali Sabri says that if the public are deceived by the flowery words of the manifesto of the National People’s Power, the country cannot be prevented from declining again. He said this while attending a media conference held in Colombo. If the government does not comply with the agreement with the IMF, the 400 million dollars due in December will not be received. Another 400 million dollars due from the World Bank will also be suspended. Consequently, the economy will completely collapse again.
Meanwhile, speaking at a rally, opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said that massive development programs will be implemented in Ampara district under his government. In addition, he said that the fertilizer bundle will be given for 5000 thousand rupees to develop the agriculture of the county. He further assured that he will save the farmer as well as the consumer from the current rice mill mafia.
Addressing a rally in Minuwangoda, NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayaka expressed hope that NPP will win at the presidential election. He further said that the party has a number of development plans to revive
the economy of the country, adding that the natural resources available in the island such as gems and minerals should be utilized for this purpose.
