President ranil wickramasinghe  challenges Sajith Premadasa and Anura Kumara

President Ranil Wickramasinghe challenges SJB Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa and NPP Presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake to join an online discussion with the International Monetary Fund.

He said then only the people of the country will be able to see the truth and inaccuracy of what they are saying on the political platforms. The President made these remarks while addressing the special convention of the United National Party held last evening at the party Headquarters.

The President added there is no possibility to change the agreement with the IMF.   He also stressed what the opposition leader and the NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, intends to do to the country by misleading the public with policy declarations claiming that prices of commodities and taxes will be decreased. .

He said that he is also willing to reduce the price of goods and taxes and provide relief for the public.  But it is possible only by strengthening the rupee.   It should act according to the agreement reached with the IMF.  The President asked the opposition to present it immediately in the discussion with the fund and seek their opinion with the IMF If there is any other alternative methodology.
