Election Commission Chairman R.M.A.L.Rathnayake said that representatives from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Maldives are among those that have been invited to observe the 2024 Presidential election that is scheduled to be held on September 21st.
Election observers from the European Union have already arrived in the country to observe the Presidential election.
The Commonwealth election observers and representatives of the Asian Election Observation Network are also scheduled to visit Sri Lanka for Presidential election observation.
