President Wickremasinghe is among lowest earning Presidential candidates according to Assets declaration.

Assets and liabilities declared by Presidential candidates contesting the 2024 Presidential election revealed that, President Ranil Wickremesinghe is earning a monthly earnings of one hundred seventy-seven thousand three hundred sixteen rupees, which is the lowest among the leading candidates.

According to the assets declarations, Presidential candidate Dilith Jayaweera is the candidate who earns the highest monthly earning of sixteen million five hundred thousand rupees.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa’s monthly earning is two hundred and  ninety-five thousand six hundred and eighty-one rupees while National People’s Power  candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s monthly earning is two hundred fifty-six thousand and eight hundred two rupees.

Former Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe earns a monthly salary of one million three hundred forty-five thousand rupees as per the assets declaration.

Sri Lanka Podujana Peruman Presidential candidate Namal Rajapaksa earns a monthly earning of, four hundred fifty-four thousand two hundred and eighty-five rupees.

Independent candidate Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka earns a monthly remuneration of three hundred seventeen thousand and seven hundred eighty-five rupees, while People’s Struggle Movement candidate Nuwan Bopage earns a monthly earning of 300,000 rupees.
