Pelosi, Clinton and star guests to take stage at Democratic convention

Tim Walz, Kamala Harris’s running mate, will headline night three of Democratic National Convention in Chicago. You can watch the DNC live at the top of this page.

Before Walz’s speech, the convention will hear from former US President Bill Clinton. Nancy Pelosi, the former House speaker, will also speak.

Pelosi was widely reported to have led the push for Joe Biden to end his presidential campaign. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has appeared behind bullet-proof glass for his first outdoor rally since an assassination attempt in July.

On Tuesday, former US President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama gave impassioned endorsements of Kamala Harris in back-to-back speeches that electrified the audience in a packed arena.

The four-day convention formally anoints Harris as the Democratic presidential contender; Republicans celebrated Donald Trump at their party’s convention last month.
