The Election Commission says Postal vote ballots are scheduled for delivery to post offices tomorrow. Election Commission Chairman R.M.A.L.Rathnayake said that postal voting is set for 4, 5, and 6 September.
736 thousand 589 people had applied to vote by mail in the presidential election, out of which 24 thousand 268 applications were rejected. Kurunegala district received the highest number of postal vote applications.
Police and Special Task Force officers are overseeing the printing of ballot papers for the election at present.
