A gunman involved in the assassination of Club Vasantha

A gunman involved in the assassination of Surenndra Vasantha Perera, also known as Club Vasantha, has been apprehended by the Terrorism Investigation Division yesterday.

The suspect, 31-year-old Pati Arambage Ajith Rohana, was taken into custody in the Kawdana area of Dehiwala. Additionally, a 29-year-old suspect named Waruna Indika de Silva, who rented a house in the Athurugiriya area and transported gunmen from a bus to Kataragama, has also been arrested.

The arrests were made under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Rohan Premarathna and a senior police team led by Senior Superintendent of Police Prasanna Alwis.
