Landslide warnings issued for six districts.

The Director of the disaster management unit of the irrigation department  engineer S.P.C. Sugeeswara says that  water levels of several rivers have been increased to spill level.  The water level of Kalu and Ging rivers has increased considerably.

A landslide warning has been issued for the districts of Colombo, Galle, Kalutara, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, and Ratnapura.  Flooding continues in parts of Gampaha, with several roads in Kalutara’s Madurawala, Palindanuwara, Millaniya, and Bulathsinhala still submerged.

Several roads were inundated due to floods. The Kalutara district has been reported as the most affected area.  A team of navy has been deployed for the relief activities in the Bulathsinhala divisional secretariat division .  Sluice gates of Kukule Ganga and Deduru Oya have been opened.
