The country has fallen into a precipice due to the shortsighted actions of the leaders – Anura Kumara

Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Power, stated that the country has fallen into a precipice due to the shortsighted actions of the leaders who governed the country over the past 76 years since independence.

The consequences of this have been borne by the people. He mentioned that a new economic policy and political environment would rebuild the country,

creating a situation where the people can live freely. He made these remarks while attending a public meeting in the town of Wariyapola yesterday.

He further stated that the country’s agriculture sector would be improved to create the necessary conditions to produce the food needed by the people locally. He also mentioned that a tax policy that provides relief to everyone would be established.
