The Police arrests 776 suspects: ‘Yukthiya’ operation

Police issued a press release on the anti-drug raids being carried out under

the second phase of the “Yukthiya” Operation.

According to Police, a total of 776 suspects were arrested during 780 raids

conducted within yesterday, under the second phase of the “Yukthiya”

Operation. The authorities have also seized 326g of heroin, 183g of ‘Ice’

and 271g of cannabis, during the operation covering the Western Province.

In addition to this, Police have seized 09g of heroin, 304g of ‘Ice’ and

142g of cannabis during the operation covering the Southern Province.
