Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigns and flees country as protesters storm palace.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and fled Bangladesh after anti-government protests in which hundreds of people have been killed.
Reports say the former PM has landed in India, with speculation she may now travel to London, although this is not confirmed.
Huge crowds stormed Hasina’s official residence in Dhaka, and there has also been looting and disorder in the capital.
At least 20 people have been killed on Monday, following on from at least 90 deaths on Sunday.
