President Ranil Wickremesinghe issuing a condolence message for the demise of Galboda Gnanissara Thera says that the venerable thera was able to accomplish many things which was perceived to be impossible.

The President in his message said that nothing was impossible for the Chief Incumbent of Gangaramaya Temple Venerable Galboda Gnanissara Thera.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe further said that the late Thera accomplished much through his organisational skills and determination, though he had no resources.

The President said in a condolence message said that the late Thera was able to strengthen international ties and through this exercise played a role in popularising Theravada Buddhism in many foreign countries.

The president also said that the thera also played a great role in teaching English to the youth and instilling vocational skills among them.
