The President and the prime minister declare assets.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and many MPs of the ruling party have submitted the Declarations of Assets.
According to the new Assets Declaration Act, all public representatives, including staff officers, must submit asset declarations and display them on the Bribery Commission’s website.
President Wickremesinghe presented this Bill and according to this, every year all officials including public representatives must declare their assets and liabilities.
