The UN Resident Coordinator meets Prime Minister  Amarasuriya

The UN  Resident Coordinator for Sri Lanka, Marc-Andre Franche, paid Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya a courtesy visit at her office  yesterday.

Franche expressed his best wishes to the Prime Minister and reaffirmed the UN’s commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s development initiatives.

The UN Organisation has provided their support  to eradicate poverty and  for the  digitalization programme.

The existing issues regarding the women empowerment  were also discussed.  Mr. Franche also stated that  the organisation is  ready to provide support for the  women empowerment programme.
