US ambassador in Sri Lanka met the defence secretary 

US ambassador in Sri Lanka Juli Wang met the defence secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuiyakontha at the ministry of defence recently.

Several matters relating to strengthen the bilateral relations were focused at the discussion. The defence secretary also thanked the ambassador on donating a new plane to Sri Lankan air force.  

Mr. Thuiyakontha said that the government is ready to work the US government closely.
