Nominations for the general election by the  political parties is  nearing  completion

It has  been reported that  signing   for nominations for the forthcoming general election by the  main political parties is  nearing  completion.

Accordingly, the general secretary of the Podu Jana Peramuna  Sagara Kariyawasam said that  preparation  of nominations is to be completed today.

Jathika Jana Balawegaya has signed nomination for all  districts today.  Nominations of the Samagi Jana Bala Wegaya was signed at its headquarters in Pitakotte.

Meanwhile,  Ilangai Thami Arusu Kachchi and Democratic Tamil national Alliance have decided to contest at the general election.

Four candidates of the Tamil Arusu Kachchi and three candidates from the Tamil  national alliance are contesting the election.

The Chief secretary of the EPDP Douglas Devananda said that they will contest  from  nine districts at the election.
