Government will take responsibility for all appointments made under the NPP

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that the government will take responsibility for all appointments made under the National People’s Power government. In response to questions from the media in Kandy yesterday, she emphasized that her government will not hesitate to take action if allegations are made against state officials.

She noted that there needs to be thorough preparation for the upcoming general election. Her government believes that the people will take action to elect a team capable of delivering excellence and contributing to the country, building on the victory achieved during the presidential election.

The National People’s Power government considers education a top priority. Currently, there is a loss of confidence in the education system, which needs to be rebuilt.

There should be a supportive environment that encourages children to happily attend school, without burdening parents. Additionally, teachers should be provided with opportunities to perform their profession with joy and efficiency, she added.
